Washington, D.C., (04/13/2022) – The 2022 NWSL regular season broadcast schedule has been finalized as the league released full details today. The Washington Spirit will play before a national television audience three times in 2022, twice on the road and once at home. Additionally, three matches will be streamed exclusively on Twitch while the remaining 16 matches will be exclusive to Paramount+ in the U.S. All matches will stream on Twitch for international viewers.
The Spirit’s May 27 match in Orlando and September 21 match in Los Angeles will both be broadcast by CBS Sports Network. The defending champions will also be seen on CBS when they take on San Diego Wave FC on Saturday, September 10 at Audi Field. Previously scheduled for an early evening kickoff, the home match against San Diego will now kick off at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Similar to last season, the postseason will feature four nationally broadcasted matches. One of the two quarterfinal matches and both semifinal matches will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network while the 2022 NWSL Championship Game will be shown on CBS.
