Boyds, Md., (8/6/19) – Aubrey Bledsoe has done it again. The 27-year-old Washington Spirit goalkeeper has picked up her third NWSL Save of the Week award this year, just 14 games into the 2019 season.

Bledsoe, who also leads the NWSL with 55 stops this year, made a diving stop to prevent a goal by North Carolina Courage forward Kristen Hamilton on Saturday in Cary, North Carolina. The save kept the match deadlocked at 0-0 and was just the latest example of how Bledsoe’s heroics have kept the Spirit in so many games this season.
Bledsoe previously won the award in Week 4 for a save against Reign FC and in Week 12 against the Orlando Pride. This is the eighth time she has earned the honor in her career, giving her the third-most Save of the Week awards of any player in NWSL history.
Bledsoe and the Spirit will be back in action at the Maryland SoccerPlex this Saturday, August 10, against the Chicago Red Stars. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. [TICKETS]
