Boyds, MD (November 14, 2017) – The Washington Spirit and Comcast Business have completed a successful opening season as partners during the 2017 National Women’s Soccer League campaign.
During the 2017 season, Comcast Business served as the presenting sponsor of the Spirit Ball Kids program. The Spirit Ball Kids help keep the game moving by quickly getting the ball back to the players when it goes out of play, and the experience puts young players right up close to the action for a memory most say will last a lifetime.
“Being on the field for a professional game is an invaluable experience for youth players that we hope inspires them to reach for the stars themselves in soccer and in life,” said Spirit President Chris Hummer. “We’re very thankful to Comcast Business for supporting the dreams of our young fans, and confident those fans will always associate the Comcast Business brand with such a positive experience.”
Thanks to the support of Comcast Business, local girls’ soccer teams from Loudoun Soccer Club, Potomac Soccer Association, FC Bordeaux, Ellicott City Soccer Club, Springfield South County Youth Club (SYC) and Snowhill Soccer got to be a part of a professional women’s soccer game by serving as Spirit Ball Kids.
As part of the partnership, Comcast Business provided pinnies for Spirit Ball Kids to wear during games. Washington Spirit also highlighted Comcast Business each match via the public address system.
Comcast is one of the nation’s largest video, high-speed Internet, phone, wireless and security and automation providers to residential customers under the Xfinity brand, and also provides these services to businesses.
