Boyds, MD (June 18, 2018) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been tabbed as one of four nominees for NWSL Save of the Week.
Bledsoe’s Week 12 nomination comes in recognition of her game-saving stop in the 86th minute of Saturday’s shutout effort against Seattle Reign FC at the Maryland SoccerPlex, as she turned away a Megan Rapinoe header just before it reached the goal.
It was one of six saves in the game for Bledsoe, who notched her fourth clean sheet of the season, and second in a row. Bledsoe has already won two NWSL Save of the Week awards this season, claiming back-to-back honors in Week 4 and Week 5.
Voting for the NWSL Save of the Week is held exclusively on Twitter. Cast your votes before the deadline of 11:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 19 using the hashtag #BledsoeSOW.
