About the W Champions Cup

The W Champions Cup is an annual competition that includes the Confederation’s best clubs to crown a regional women’s club champion. The tournament is also the sole path for clubs in the Concacaf region to qualify for the new FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.

The Group Stage saw 10 clubs—three from NWSL (USA), three from Liga MX Femenil (Mexico), and one from each of the domestic leagues of Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Panama—divided into two groups of five clubs each, with each club playing every club in their group once. The five-week Group Stage took place from late August to mid-October.

What's at Stake

The Concacaf W Champions Cup will remain the sole route for clubs in the region to qualify for FIFA’s global women’s club competitions.

Allocated slots

Concacaf has been allocated 2.5 slots for the quadrennial FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, with the first edition scheduled for 2028.

These berths will be distributed among the winners of the 2024/25, 2025/26, and 2027 editions of the Concacaf W Champions Cup. Gotham FC has already secured one of those places by winning the 2024/25 edition.

The winner of the 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals will also qualify to the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2027.

FIFA Global Women’s Competitions

FIFA Women’s Champions Cup

The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup will bring together the six continental champions from the preceding season. Following its debut with the 2026 edition, the second edition will culminate with its semifinals and final in Miami, Fla. from January 27–31, 2027.

FIFA Women’s Club World Cup

The inaugural edition will feature 19 clubs. Six teams — one from each confederation (AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA) — will compete in a play-in round, with three advancing to join 13 others in the group stage.
