BOYDS, Md (Oct 27, 2016) – Washington Spirit defender Ali Krieger and forward Crystal Dunn were named by U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Jill Ellis to the 24 player roster for two friendly matches against Romania on Nov. 10 at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif. (7 p.m. PT on ESPN2) and Nov. 13 at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. (6:30 p.m. PT on FS1). The roster was announced by U.S. Soccer earlier today.
Krieger returns to the roster after being one of a group of veteran players not called in for a pair of October friendly matches against Switzerland. The Dumfries, Va native has made 95 appearances for the USWNT since her debut in 2008. The Spirit captain has made 66 appearances for the Spirit in her four years with the club.
Dunn started both USWNT friendly matches against Switzerland in October, scoring a goal in the second match. The 24 year old has scored 13 goals this year for the USWNT and has made an appearance in every match the FIFA No. 1 ranked team has played. Dunn appeared for the Spirit 15 times in 2016, scoring four goals and notching five assists, including both goals in the NWSL Championship earlier this month.
The matches in November will be the final ones for the USWNT in 2016.
