4 – Players in the entire NWSL with more goals than Havana Solaun
By scoring her fifth goal of the season on penalty kick in Friday night’s 4-1 win over Sky Blue FC, Solaun climbed into the top five in the league leaders. The only NWSL players with more goals to their name this season are Seattle’s Megan Rapinoe, Sky Blue FC’s Samantha Kerr, Orlando’s Marta and Chicago’s Christen Press.

3 – Washington’s current home unbeaten streak
The Spirit will look to push its home unbeaten run to four on Saturday against Boston as the team plays its first game at the Maryland SoccerPlex since July 8. The streak started on June 3 with a 2-0 clean sheet win over the Houston Dash, followed by another shutout effort in a 1-0 victory over Portland Thorns FC on June 24, and continued against the Orlando Pride with a thrilling 2-2 draw, highlighted by a 90th minute penalty kick equalizer.

10 – Tackles over the past two games for Caprice Dydasco
Dydsaco has led the Spirit defensive unit in successful tackles through the team’s first two games in the month of August, racking up four against Sky Blue FC on August 1 and a team-high of six on Tuesday in Orlando. She added a blocked shot and was second on the team with 45 total passes against the Pride.
98 – Total passes by Tori Huster in the last two games
Huster led all players for both teams with 50 total passes in Tuesday’s road game in Orlando, and finished second on the Spirit with 48 passes to open the month of August against Sky Blue last Friday.
7 – Goals and assists this season by Spirit rookies
Spirit rookies have combined for seven goals and assists this season, following Friday’s breakout performance against Sky Blue FC. Arielle Ship and Meggie Dougherty Howard both scored the first goals of their pro careers, as Ship also notched two assists, garnering NWSL Player of the Week honors. Pugh, the youngest player in the NWSL at 19 years old, has scored three times in her first eight pro games.
