In its third match of the season, the Washington Spirit defeated the Utah Royals 2-1 with goals from midfielder Andi Sullivan and forward Ouleyemata Sarr. As a team, the Spirit:
• Improved to 2-0 at home for the second time in club history and first time since 2015.
• Led by multiple goals at the half in the regular season for the first time since April 1, 2023.
• Won or tied for the 20th straight time in the regular season when leading at the half.
• Scored multiple goals in a half against the Royals for the first time.
With her performance on Sunday, forward Trinity Rodman:
• Set a club record with her 12th assist in the regular season, breaking a tie with Crystal Dunn and Diana Matheson.
• Added to her all-competitions club record with her 17th assist.

• Had an assist in two consecutive regular season games for the first time in her career.
• Became the 12th Spirit player to go over 5,000 career minutes. She has now totaled 5,041 minutes after playing the full match on Sunday.
