Washington, D.C., (05/31/2022) – The Washington Spirit will celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride at two home matches this season, one in Leesburg and one in DC. Saturday, June 11’s match against North Carolina at Segra Field will officially be dubbed “Pride Night” while Saturday, September 10’s match against San Diego at Audi Field will be known as a “Pride Celebration”. By holding two Pride-themed matches, the Spirit hopes to provide fans in Leesburg and DC alike the same opportunity to show their support this season.

In addition to matchday Pride activations, the Spirit will be supporting and amplifying programming offered by club community partner SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders).
