Leesburg, VA., (02/09/21) – Sweden Women’s National Team Head Coach Peter Gerhardsson has named Spirit midfielder Julia Roddar to the 27-player roster for Sweden’s upcoming matches set to be held February 19 and 23 in Malta.

The Sweden National Team will play two friendlies, facing Austria on February 19 (9 a.m. ET) and squaring off against Malta on February 23 (8:30 a.m. ET). Roddar also played one season at the University of Wisconsin, making 20 appearances, before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University, where she would start 62 times, score four goals and add 10 assists.

For the Sweden National Team, Roddar has made seven senior appearances. Most recently, she joined the national team at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and has been on several team sheets for recent European qualification games. She also appeared at the U-19 and U-17 levels, where she featured in 30 matches and recorded five goals.
