Boyds, Md., (9/29/20) – Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been nominated for NWSL Fall Series Verizon Save of the Week Award for her save in the 64th minute during the Spirit’s match against the Chicago Red Stars.
The Chicago Red Stars earned a free-kick outside the Spirit’s box which midfielder Savannah McCaskill took. McCaskill fast-paced, swerving over the Spirit wall that forced Bledsoe to make a diving save to her right side, preventing a certain goal and clearing the ball out of danger.

Bledsoe finished the game facing two shots on target, and saving one fo them. This added to her current combined total of 10 saves throughout the three games the Spirit’s have played during the Fall Series.
