Boyds, Md., (5/31/19) – This week was a busy one for the Washington Spirit as three players were nominated for or won weekly awards and the team geared up for a showdown with Utah Royals FC. Defender Paige Nielsen was a key part of the Spirit’s clean sheet victory over Chicago, and she was recognized for her efforts with an award typically reserved for goalkeepers.
