Continue reading for a look at some of the most notable statistics heading into the Spirit’s second game of the season against Orlando and the final home game against the Pride. The Spirit earned a 2-0 win against the Orlando Pride on March 31.
Goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has recorded an impressive 63 saves through 12 games in which she has appeared. She earned NSWL Player of the Week honors for the six saves, including a penalty save, she recorded in a clean sheet against Seattle Reign FC.
Rookie midfielder Andi Sullivan is the only Washington Spirit player to have played every minute of the team’s 13 games this season.
Defender Caprice Dydasco leads Washington with 1,012 touches, and has touched the ball more than 200 times more than any other Spirit player. Dydasco also leads Washington with passes attempted (611), tackles attempted (36), and interceptions (36).
Defender Estelle Johnson has posted a team-high 68 clearances this season on the backline. She also leads the Spirit with 12 blocks.
The Spirit leads the NWSL with a 63.7% passing accuracy in the opponent’s defensive half of the field. Washington has completed 2,736 passes in the opposition’s half.
Francisca Ordega and Ashley Hatch co-lead the Spirit with three goals apiece this season. Hatch scored her first goal in a Spirit uniform against Orlando.
