The Newcastle Jets also won their game this weekend against Perth Glory, but it was overshadowed by an unfortunate injury to Kelsey Wys. The goalkeeper’s season with the Jets has ended after she tore her right ACL landing awkwardly early in the match. With Wys cheering from the sidelines, Newcastle catapulted to the top of the W-League standings with the team’s win. Match Report
