Boyds, MD., (11/20/20) -The Washington Spirit continued the club’s 2020 Advanced Development Program (ADP) cycle this month on November 15 with a virtual classroom session via Zoom.

The session was an exclusive, invite-only session that featured 38 players from 10 different youth clubs between the age groups U16-U19. Invites were issued based on recommendations from local Club Directors, US Soccer Scouts and the Washington Spirit scouting program.

The classroom session was highlighted by virtual presentations presented by Carahsoft that featured Talent Development & Market Scouting Manager KJ Spisak, Player Analysis and Team Performance Coach Carrie Kveton, as well as a Q&A session with Washington Spirit Defender Sam Staab

Spisak said this on the session: “During this virtual classroom session, we were able to use game footage from the professional level to highlight playing ideals that we strive to promote to our ADP players. We are always excited to bring our knowledge to young players and assist in their development.”

While previous sessions as part of the ADP program included on-field portions which served to provide insight into attending players for Spirit coaches and US Soccer Scouts, the field session for the November 18th program was canceled in adherence to the latest Montgomery County COVID-19 restrictions.
