CHICAGO (2/26/20) – Washington Spirit midfielders Rose Lavelle and Andi Sullivan have been named to the United States Women’s National Team’s 23-player roster for the 2020 SheBelieves Cup. This selection comes after they were both called into the 26-player training camp on Feb. 17.

The 2020 SheBelieves Cup features the top-ranked Americans, No. 6 England, No. 10 Japan and No. 13 Spain. All of the matches will be shown on ESPN networks. All four participating teams made the knockout rounds of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup last summer in France. England, Spain and Japan have also announced their tournament rosters.

Lavelle has made 42 appearances for the USWNT, and has scored 12 goals during that span. Lavelle netted two goals in the US’s recent CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament victory, scoring the game-deciding goal against Mexico and contributing a goal in the US’s 8-0 rout of Panama.

Sullivan has made 16 appearances for the USWNT, with her most recent appearance coming during the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament against Panama in which she played a full 90 minutes. Sullivan completed 36 of her 37 pass attempts during that start, while also contributing two steals. Sullivan is one of three players on the roster who were not at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The U.S. roster features all 20 players who helped the Americans win the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament in early March and earn a berth to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
