Boyds, Md., (6/17/2019)- Washington Spirit keeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been nominated for the NWSL Save of the Week award in recognition of her diving save in the 47th minute against Reign FC.
Reign forward Bethany Balcer raced down the left flank and made a perfect pass to the feet of Reign midfielder Jessica Fishlock in front of goal. Fishlock turned the ball on net for what seemed to be a sure goal, but Bledsoe anticipated the play and was able to get a hand on the ball to turn it away.
