Boyds, MD (July 19, 2017) – The Washington Spirit will visit Portland Thorns FC on Saturday, July 22 in the teams’ second of three match-ups during the 2017 NWSL regular season. It will be the first of two visits to Providence Park this season for the Spirit, who won the first match-up with a 1-0 clean sheet effort at the Maryland SoccerPlex on June 24. 5 – Goals scored or assisted by Havana Solaun
Solaun has three goals and two assists midway through her first season with the team, and is second on the Spirit behind only Francisca Ordega in both categories. Solaun notched her second assist on July 15 against the Houston Dash, setting up Johnson’s 76th minute score.

Midway through her rookie season out of the University of Florirda, Dougherty Howard leads the team in passes on the opponent’s half. Her 83.3% passing accuracy led the Spirit last weekend in Houston.
