In 2025, seven Washington Spirit matches will air across Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) platforms. New this season, DMV broadcasting legend Dave Johnson and former Spirit player and radio broadcaster Gaby Vincent will handle the commentating duties with Moises Linares hosting the Spirit’s first-ever dedicated post-match show. This season’s partnership with Monumental Sports Network represents an important step in the Spirit’s local broadcast growth.
Dave Johnson is the play-by-play commentator for Washington Spirit matches on Monumental Sports Network. Johnson brings an impressive decades-spanning broadcasting career with him to Spirit matches as the radio play-by-play voice of the Washington Wizards and having been the play-by-play voice of D.C. United for over 25 years. The broadcast booth at Audi Field was even named “The Dave Johnson Broadcast Booth” in early 2024 for his contributions to soccer in DC.
Gaby Vincent handles color commentary duties for Washington Spirit matches on Monumental Sports Network. Vincent was previously an analyst for the Spirit’s matches on ESPN 630 radio in 2024 before making the move to television in 2025. Prior to her broadcasting career, Vincent was a four-year NWSL player herself. The Columbia, Maryland native played in Utah and Kansas City before competing for her hometown Spirit in her final professional year in 2022.
Moises Linares hosts the post-match show for Washington Spirit games on Monumental Sports Network. With MNMT, Linares also calls Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games while serving as the Spanish play-by-play voice for iHeart Radio’s coverage of Washington Commanders games.
