(Oct. 16, 2013) – Four on-loan NWSL players scored Wednesday as their European clubs competed in the second leg of the Round of 32 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Sky Blue FC midfielder Ashley Nick and Chicago Red Stars midfielder Alyssa Mautz both found the back of the net in WFK Zorky Krasnogorsk’s 4-1 victory over visiting Thor/KA (Iceland) as the Russia club advanced 6-2 on aggregate.
Nick made the score 3-0 with her tally in the 34th minute before Mautz produced the final score line with her goal in the 65th. Mautz also had two assist in the game, while Western New York Flash midfielder Amy Barczuk started and played all 90 minutes for Zorky.
Elsewhere, Seattle Reign FC midfield Megan Rapinoe scored and had an assist after coming on as a substitute in the 59th minute of a 6-0 romp for host Olympique Lyonnais over FC Twente (Netherlands) to cap off a 10-0 aggregate victory for the French side.
Also in France, Paris Saint-Germain and Portland Thorns FC midfielder Tobin Heath were eliminated from the competition following a scoreless draw against visiting Tyreso FF.
Washington Spirit goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris and defender Ali Krieger helped lead Tyreso’s defense to the shutout, while Heath was subbed off in the 72nd minute.
Harris had five saves while posting the shutout.
In Cyprus, FC Kansas City midfielder Sinead Farrelly scored in host Apollon Limassol LFC’s 1-1 draw with Austrian side SV Neulengbach.
Washington Spirit forward Jasmyne Spencer set up Farrelly’s 77th minute goal that tied the game at 1. However, Apollon were unable to overcome a 2-1 deficit from the first leg and were eliminated 3-2 on aggregate.
All five NWSL players that featured in the game for Apollon started and played all 90 minutes – with Seattle Reign FC goalkeeper Michelle Betos, Boston Breakers midfielder Joanna Lohman and Breakers forward Lianne Sanderson joining Farrelly and Spirit in the starting XI.

FFC Turbine Potsdam (Germany) vs. Olympique Lyonnais (France)

First-leg games will be played Nov. 9/10, while the second leg will occur Nov. 13/14. Teams listed first will be at home in the first leg.
Fishlock, Glasgow City LFC
Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock and Glasgow City LFC will attempt to join Tyreso, Olympique Lyonnais and WFK Zorky Krasnogorsk in the Round of 16 when the Scottish team hosts Belgian club Standard Liege on Thursday at 2 p.m. ET.
The two teams drew the first leg 2-2 in Belgium.
