Following a season of groundbreaking coverage, the Washington Spirit Radio Network returns for postseason broadcasts on WashingtonSpirit.com
Washington, D.C. (11/08/2024) – The Washington Spirit and ESPN 630, DC’s premier live and local sports radio station, are bringing postseason soccer to Spirit fans. Match audiocasts throughout the Spirit’s postseason run will stream live, directly to WashingtonSpirit.com as well as the ESPN 630 app and website. Coverage of the Spirit’s quarterfinal match, presented by Fanatics Sportsbook, will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
The two sides collaborated in what was the first-ever radio partnership in Spirit history, broadcasting games throughout the 2024 regular season. The Washington Spirit Radio Network established itself as a fan-favorite source for insightful and entertaining coverage of the Spirit with a unique “hometown” feel that is not available anywhere else.
Leading the Washington Spirit Radio Network is the trio of play-by-play voice Bram Weinstein and analysts Gaby Vincent and Mike Minnich. These three made history on June 23 when they became the first-ever local radio crew to broadcast a road match in person at the Spirit vs. Gotham FC match in Harrison, New Jersey.
A moment for our @WashSpirit radio broadcast crew: The first ever NWSL team crew to call a road match in person!
Broadcast starting in 10 minutes on 630AM, the ESPN 630 app, and https://t.co/Q2Nbsgs0HV!

In recent weeks, DC soccer legend and former USMNT goalkeeper, Bill Hamid, has joined the booth in an analyst position. Hamid will join Minnich and Vincent on the call for Sunday’s match.
Weinstein, who also serves as the Washington Commanders radio voice, has made his mark as the Spirit radio lead with his signature goal call, “She Scores!” This weekend, Weinstein will be unavailable for the call, with Minnich stepping into the play-by-play role. Weinstein will resume his duties should the Spirit make the NWSL Semifinals or NWSL Championship match.
The Spirit’s original programming series, “Spirit Spotlight,” will continue throughout the postseason. This dedicated podcast channel is available wherever you listen to podcasts and features exclusive weekly interviews from special Spirit guests. Fans can also listen to interviews live, every Friday at 3:40 p.m. by tuning into ESPN 630 AM.
