All three national teams with Spirit players on their rosters won today at the Paris Olympics. Colombia, the United States, and Canada will look to take today’s momentum into their final group stage matches on Wednesday, July 31 and secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

USA – 4, Germany – 1
The USWNT continued to roll with a dominating victory over 2016 gold medalist Germany. Trinity Rodman notched an assist in the first half, and Casey Krueger earned a cap when she came onto the pitch in the 91st minute.

Spirit rookie Croix Bethune was added to the 18-player roster to replace Jaedyn Shaw (San Diego Wave) but did not appear in the match. In dramatic fashion, Gabby Carle and Canada earned their second come-from-behind victory of the tournament. After tying the match in the 58th minute, Canada was able to secure the win with a 90+12′ stoppage time goal from Vanessa Gilles.
Canada will face Colombia at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 in the final match of the group stage.
