Team will face the Houston Dash and Orlando Pride in 2024 prep contests 


Washington, D.C. (02/02/2024) – The Washington Spirit has released its 2024 preseason schedule, the club announced today. Ahead of its 12th season, the club will train in Chula Vista, California and Bradenton, Florida, in addition to the team’s training facility in the DMV. The Spirit will also face the Houston Dash and the Orlando Pride in preseason matches. 


In southern California, the Spirit will continue training at Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center for the next week. The team will return to the DMV area on Thursday, February 8. 


After two and a half weeks back home, the team will head down to Bradenton, Florida to train at IMG Academy for the remainder of preseason training camp. On Thursday, February 29, the Spirit will play the Houston Dash in a closed scrimmage at IMG Academy. Rounding out the club’s second preseason trip, Washington will head north to Orlando to face the Pride in another closed scrimmage on Friday, March 8 before heading home.

  • Thursday, February 29: vs Houston Dash (Bradenton, Florida) 
  • Friday, March 8: vs Orlando Pride (Orlando, Florida)
