Native to Bozeman, Montana, Averie Collins landed with the Spirit after attending Stanford and Washington State. Prior to college, Averie attended Bozeman High School where she led the Hawks to a state championship and earned three state player of the year awards. In three seasons with the Stanford Cardinal, Averie tallied ten goals, five assists and one national championship while appearing in 57 matches. Upon transferring to Washington State for her senior season, Averie recorded another six goals and five assists in 24 starts en route to a Third Team All-Pac-12 selection. Fresh off making her first appearance with the Spirit in almost two years, our favorite Big Sky baller answered some of our hardest-hitting questions.

It’s great!  It’s been a long year and I’ve learned a lot about myself, but it feels good to be back and see my hard work pay off. I’m so thankful for all the people who helped get me here.

What would you say your personal goals for the rest of the year are?

My goals are just to continue building off each performance and do whatever I can to help the team win and be successful.
