Boyds, Md., (10/1/19) – Mallory Pugh, Rose Lavelle, and Andi Sullivan have joined the U.S. Women’s National Team for the 2019 Victory Tour matches against the Korea Republic on Oct. 3 and Oct. 6.

Sullivan was called up earlier this week after injuries and heavy workloads saw UWSNT regulars drop out of the squad. The 23-year-old midfielder has made 11 appearances for the USWNT since 2016. The Washington captain and 2017 NWSL 1st overall pick has played in every minute of every match for the Spirit this season and has recorded 2 goals.

Pugh and Lavelle were part of the 2019 USWNT World Cup roster that became back-to-back World Cup Champions by defeating Netherlands 2-0 on July 7.

Lavelle played in 6 games and scored three goals during the 2019 World Cup, including the game sealing goal in the World Cup final that put the US up 2-0. The 24-year-old midfielder has scored 10 goals for the USWNT in 34 caps since 2017, including the game-winning goal in the CONCACAF Women’s Championship last fall.

Pugh made three appearances for the USWNT in 2019 World Cup and scored 1 goal. The innovative Spirit forward was one of the youngest players to make an appearance for the USWNT when she earned her first cap as a 17-year-old. Pugh has scored 17 goals in 58 caps for the USWNT.

Kickoff against the Korea Republic is set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The USWNT has not played in Charlotte in 19 years, last visiting in April of 2000 for a match against Iceland in the run-up to the Sydney Olympics. The second match against the Korea Republic is set for Sunday, Oct. 6 at Soldier Field.
