NEW YORK (7/10/19) – Washington Spirit players Rose Lavelle and Mallory Pugh were featured alongside the rest of the US Women’s National Team during the Champions Parade held in their honor today in New York City.
The parade followed the traditional “Canyon of Heroes” route that takes the parade from Battery Park in downtown Manhattan to City Hall.

The players rode through the parade route on floats as the streets were lined with thousands of fans cheering for the returning champions as confetti rained down from the buildings above.

The route ended at city hall where a rally featuring USWNT stars such as Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan was held. In addition, US Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro spoke alongside several USWNT players.
