Boyds, Md. (May 8, 2019) – The Washington Spirit are pleased to announce a partnership with Adventist HealthCare for the 2019 NWSL Season.
For over 110 years, Adventist HealthCare has been a leading provider of quality healthcare throughout the Washington, D.C. region. Founded in 1907, the organization is the first and largest healthcare system headquartered in Montgomery County. The organization has been a healthcare leader in the area in fulfilling its mission of “extending God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.”
Gretchen Hamm, chief marketing officer of the Washington Spirit, had this to say about the exciting new partnership: “It is important to the organization and individual players who make up the Washington Spirit that we represent the best of the best; that our players are role models and we are a positive attribute in the community. Adventist HealthCare’s commitment to health, high-quality care and community wellness is recognized through its elite accreditations and awards for areas such as: cancer, cardiac, stroke, joint replacement, OB, physical rehabilitation, and home care.
The organization delivers these services in its’ nationally accredited acute-care and rehabilitation hospitals as well as outpatient facilities and doctors’ offices. Adventist HealthCare is also recognized as the largest contributor to charity care and community benefit in Montgomery County.
The Washington Spirit are also proud to announce that Adventist HealthCare will be the presenting sponsor for the Spirit’s “Nurses Appreciation Night” at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Sept. 28 against the North Carolina Courage.
As part of this special night recognizing the skill and compassion of our nurse community, Adventist HealthCare will also celebrate local breast cancer survivors as a kick-off to breast cancer awareness month in October.
