Boyds, MD (April 30, 2018) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has earned her fifth straight nomination for NWSL Save of the Week.
Bledsoe’s Week 5 nomination comes in recognition of her diving, one-handed stop on a close range header attempt by Chicago Red Stars defender Samantha Johnson in the 41st minute of the Spirit’s 1-1 draw on Saturday night at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
Voting for the NWSL Save of the Week is held exclusively on Twitter. Cast your votes before the deadline of 11:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, May 1 using the hashtag #BledsoeSOW.

Bledsoe is the only player to earn a Save of the Week nomination for each of the first five weeks of the season, and is coming off her first win in Week 4, when she won the award for her game-saving penalty kick stop against Portland Thorns FC.
