Boyds, MD (April 23, 2018) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe has earned her fourth straight nomination for NWSL Save of the Week.
Bledsoe’s Week 4 nomination comes in recognition of her game-saving stop on a penalty kick taken by Portland Thorns midfielder Lindsey Horan in the 87th minute of Washington’s 1-1 draw on the road Friday night at Providence Park. The 26-year-old keeper stopped Horan’s shot with a diving effort to her left side, preventing a potential game-winner in the closing minutes of the game and preserving the road point for the Spirit.
Voting for the NWSL Save of the Week is held exclusively on Twitter. Cast your votes before the deadline of 11:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, April 24 using the hashtag #BledsoeSOW.
