Boyds, MD (May 29, 2017) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé has been nominated for NWSL Save of the Week for her one-handed, mid-air deflection on a shot taken by Shea Groom in the 36th minute of Saturday’s road game against FC Kansas City.
The save was one of four made by Labbé during the game, bringing her total to 33 on the season, which is the most in the NWSL.
