Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, fourth-year midfielder/forward Bayley Feist was drafted by the Spirit out of Wake Forest with the 17th overall pick in the 2019 NWSL Draft. Prior to college, Bayley won three state championships in Ohio with Oak Hills High School and was named to an all-conference team in each of her four seasons. Upon moving to Winston-Salem, Bayley tallied 22 goals and ten assists in 78 matches across four years and earned All-ACC honors in each of her final two seasons with the Demon Deacons. After tearing her ACL in the 2021 preseason, Bayley came back like she never left this year and is currently a top-five shot taker for the defending champs. I was five years old.

Mia Hamm was always my favorite player.

Feisty!!
What’s your dream car?
My dream car would be an Audi R8.
Is there a reason behind your jersey number?
There is no particular reason behind #13, I picked it my rookie year and it has stuck ever since.
What TV shows are you watching right now?
I’m mainly into documentaries but I have recently binged the past few seasons of American Idol, very underrated.
What movie can you quote from start to finish?
I definitely can’t quote it fully but I can definitely fill in a lot of lines of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
What’s your least favorite food?
Bananas… ew.
Who inspires you?
My family.
What is your favorite emoji?
My favorite emojis would be the cowboy hat emoji person 🤠 and the knuckles 🤛🏻.
What would you sing at karaoke night?
Anything Shania Twain.
Money is no object, you can live anywhere in the world, where will you be?
Maui.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I’m more of an early bird.
What was your favorite subject in school/your major in college?
I took a couple psychology courses in college and really loved them.
What is your favorite season?
Summer but fall is a close second.
How did it feel to return to the field this season?
It’s been great. I’ve been so fortunate to have so many people in my corner that have helped me get to where I am now.
What are your personal and team goals for the rest of the season?
My personal goal is to help the team out in any way I can and the team goal is of course to always get results and make a playoff run.
