The easter egg on the kit is the branch in the shape of the Potomac River on the bottom. Another is the dot pattern that you can only see up close!
The design draws from the city’s iconic cherry blossoms — a symbol of renewal, strength, and resilience. The colors are an evolution of the Spirit, including the Spirit green, but also introduce the iconic pink of cherry blossom season.
What sets this kit apart from the others is the use of abstract dots up close to form the cherry blossom print from a far.
The Spirit in Bloom jersey is made with our Nike Dri-Fit ADV material. Through research conducted in the Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) and data measured using advanced body-mapping technology, the kits provide mobility, breathability, and venting exactly where it’s needed most as players compete in all climates, throughout the country and world.

In D.C., the arrival of the cherry blossoms isn’t just a change in the weather—it’s the city’s pulse. For a few weeks every spring, our concrete jungle turns into a canopy of pink and white, reminding us that beauty and resilience go hand-in-hand.
2026 will mark the 114th anniversary of the arrival of the cherry blossom trees gifted from Japan to Washington D.C. This anniversary highlights the Potomac River and Cherry Blossom trees that create a stunning backdrop of our city and the Nation’s Capital. Nearly 4,000 cherry blossoms line the Potomac and attract more than a million visitors a year in early spring to see the trees in full bloom.
To the Spirit, these blooms represent the fleeting moment where preparation meets opportunity. Like the blossoms, we play with a grace that masks our strength. We wear the petals to honor the city that raised us and the fans who bloom with us, season after season.
