Boyds, Md., (7/9/19) – Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe added another NWSL Save of the Week award to her growing collection this week thanks to her highlight stop in the 60th minute against the Orlando Pride.
Bledsoe leads the NWSL with 49 saves on the season, and she has had a knack for exceptional plays to go along with her high volume of stops. This was her fourth Save of the Week Award in just 11 games played this year.

With the Spirit trailing by a goal, the Pride threatened to increase their lead when Rachel Hill delivered a dangerous cross to the forehead of Toni Pressley. Pressley’s header came in quickly from very close range, but Bledsoe reacted instantly to deflect the ball safely over the crossbar and out of play.
