Orlando, FL – Saturday July 06, 2019: 2019 NWSL regular season home game between the Orlando Pride and the Washington Spirit at Exploria Stadium

Boyds, Md., (7/8/2019) – Washington Spirit keeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been nominated for the NWSL’s Save of the Week award for her stop against the Orlando Pride in the 60th minute last Saturday.

After Pride forward Rachel Hill found herself with space on the left flank, she cut the ball back to her right foot and sent in a dangerous ball towards the box. Pride defender Toni Pressley connected on the cross with a header that she sent rocketing towards goal, only for it to be somehow tipped over the bar after an incredible reaction save by Bledsoe.

This is Bledsoe’s fifth nomination for Save of the Week this year. Bledsoe has won the award three times prior.

Save of the Week is decided by a fan vote on Twitter. Fans can vote by clicking on the link below.

The Spirit have a week off before returning to action against the Houston Dash on 7/20. Kickoff at the Maryland SoccerPlex is set for 7:00 p.m. ET, with Gate D and the Fan Zone opening at 5:30 p.m. ET for all ticket-holding fans. [TICKETS]
