Boyds, Md. (6/3/19) – Washington Spirit keeper Aubrey Bledsoe has been nominated for her fourth NWSL Save of the Week award for her reaction save against Utah Royals FC.
The save came at the end of a nearly-perfectly executed offensive attack from Utah. A Royals defender sent a ball halfway downfield where it was headed by forward Katie Stengel to fellow Royals forward Amy Rodriguez. Rodriguez got a left-footed shot off towards the goal. The ball bounced once in front of Bledsoe before taking a sharp turn to the right, despite the sudden change of direction the Spirit keeper was able to make the save by diving to her right.
It's that time again.
