Boyds, Md. (Feb. 18, 2019) – Three Washington Spirit players helped Sydney FC defeat the Perth Glory 4-2 in a high-flying W-League Grand Final that saw the Sky Blues overcome last year’s defeat in the title match.
New Spirit signing Chloe Logarzo and featured heavily throughout the game, scoring a stunning goal in the 70th minute to shut the door on any potential Perth comeback.

Logarzo was subbed off for Amy Harrison, another new addition to the Spirit, to see the rest of the championship match out. During her time on the pitch, Harrison won two duels and made three clearances. Harrison and Logarzo combined for 64 touches on the night.
Despite windy conditions at the Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah, Australia, Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe made two saves on the night and claimed three crosses, helping the Sydney defense contain balls played into the box.
For Logarzo, the Grand Finals victory was, “the best game we ever played this season. It was really nice for the girls to come together especially in a Grand Final,” it of course coming after Sydney’s 2-0 defeat to Melbourne City in last year’s Grand Final.
