Boyds, Md. (Sept. 24, 2018) – Record-breaking goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe was voted as Most Valuable Player for the Washington Spirit’s 2018 NWSL season.
Bledsoe joined the team after a trade in January 2018, but has already made her mark in Washington. The Washington keeper broke the single season save record, stopping 108 shots for the Spirit. Bledsoe also won back-to-back NWSL Save of the Week awards in Weeks 5 and 6, and was awarded NWSL Player of the Week in for her efforts in Weeks 11 and 12.
