Boyds, MD (June 29, 2018) – The Washington Spirit begins a three-game road trip on Sunday, July 1 at the Chicago Red Stars. Kickoff from Toyota Park is set for 6 p.m. ET.

Washington is 0-1-1 against Chicago this season, with the sides playing to a 1-1 draw on April 28 and Chicago winning 2-0 in a match on June 2 at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
Since 2016, no goalie appearing in ten-or-more games has made as many saves per game in a season as Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe currently is at 4.9. The goalkeeper has made a NWSL leading 64 saves in 13 games this season, and is tied for second in the league with four clean sheets this season.
Spirit forward Francisca Ordega has three goals against Chicago in six career matches against the Red Stars. Ordega scored in the fourth minute of the 1-1 draw between the two teams on April 28.
Spirit veteran midfielder Joanna Lohman is the team’s leader in passing accuracy with a minimum of nine games played at 80.2 percent, the only player with an accuracy above 80 percent.
