Boyds, MD (September 11, 2017) – Washington Spirit forward Mallory Pugh has been nominated for NWSL Goal of the Week for her game-winning strike in the 85th minute against Sky Blue FC on Sunday night at Yurcak Field in Piscataway, N.J.
The goal was Pugh’s fourth of her rookie season, and the first game-winner of her young career. Fellow rookie Lindsay Agnew notched her first career NWSL assist on the play, setting up Pugh’s long range shot with a quick pass outside the top of the box. [WATCH]
