6 – Players with multiple goals this season
With her sixth minute goal against the Boston Breakers in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw, defender Estelle Johnson became the sixth Spirit player to score multiple goals this season. Johnson joined Havana Solaun (5), Francisca Ordega (4), Mallory Pugh (3), Cheyna Williams (3) and Kristie Mewis (2) on the list for Washington’s balanced attack.

3 – Players who have appeared in every game this season
Only three Spirit players – Whitney Church, Johnson and Solaun – have appeared in all 17 regular season games so far in 2017. Church is the only remaining player to have recorded every minute of action, logging the maximum 1,530 minutes on the Washington back line.
8 – Career high single game save total set by Stephanie Labbé last time vs NC Courage
On opening day of the 2017 regular season, Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé set a new career high with eight saves against reigning league champion North Carolina Courage (formerly Western New York Flash) in a re-match of the 2016 NWSL Championship. Labbé’s 65th minute save on a shot taken by Jessica McDonald earned her a nomination for NWSL Save of the Week.
2 – Goals in three August games for Cheyna Williams
Williams, a second-year forward out of Florida State University, has been in top form through Washington’s first three August games, scoring in two of them and racking up a team-high five shots against Orlando on August 8, in the only game she didn’t find the net. Williams scored a tap-in goal to open the month in a 4-1 rout of Sky Blue FC on August 4, and headed in a loose ball from point blank range to give the Spirit a second half lead over Boston on August 12.

43 – Team-high total passes by Meggie Dougherty Howard last game
Rookie midfielder Meggie Dougherty Howard out of the University of Florida notched a team-high 43 total passes in Washington’s last game, a 2-2 draw against the Boston Breakers. Dougherty Howard finished the game with 72.1 percent passing accuracy, and 37 of her passes came on the attacking side of the field. Her run up the middle of the field and pass to Estefania Banini led directly to Williams’ 64rd minute goal in the draw.
