Boyds, MD (July 3, 2017) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé has been nominated for NWSL Save of the Week for the 11th week of the 2017 NWSL season. Labbé earned the nomination this week for a one-handed leaping save, tapping away a long distance strike from Morgan Andrews which was headed for the upper shelf, in the 25th minute of Washington’s 1-0 road loss to the Boston Breakers on Saturday. The save was one of five made by Labbé during the game, bringing her total to 49 on the season, which is tied for the third-most in the NWSL.
