Wiesner moved to SEI list as she rehabs ankle injury
Washington, D.C. (10/03/2026) – The Washington Spirit has moved defender Kate Wiesner from the 45-day injury (D45) list to the season-ending injury (SEI) list, the club announced today.
Wiesner suffered a fractured ankle in last month’s home win over Bay FC and underwent successful surgery in late August. She will continue to work with the Spirit’s medical and performance staff as she rehabs the injury. Wiesner ends her 2026 campaign with 20 total appearances and 15 starts across all competitions with two assists from the back line and over 1,200 minutes of playing time.
The Spirit will take the pitch at Audi Field next on Saturday, October 17 when the side hosts rival Gotham FC. Kicking off at 12:30 p.m. EDT, tickets are available at WashingtonSpirit.com/tickets.
