Washington Spirit defender Kassey Kallman set a new National Women’s Soccer League record during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against the Orlando Pride, as she extended her consecutive minutes played streak to 3,780, a run which now includes 42 straight regular season matches dating back to 2014.
The first 40 of Kallman’s now 42 straight full-time appearances in NWSL regular season play came with her two previous clubs, FC Kansas City and the Boston Breakers.
Former Western New York Flash and current FC Kansas City defender Brittany Taylor held the previous NWSL “Ironwoman” consecutive minutes streak at 3,690.
Kallman and the Spirit return to action on Saturday, April 29 when the club hosts the Houston Dash at Maureen Hendricks Field. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. [Tickets]
