Leesburg, VA., (07/06/21) – The Washington Spirit announced today a partnership renewal with Inova Sports Medicine, continuing as the team’s official medical provider for the 2021 National Women’s Soccer League season. Inova Sports Medicine began partnering with the Spirit in 2020.

Led by orthopedic surgeon Brandon Bryant, MD; sports medicine primary care physician, Clifton Page, MD, and with assistance from physical therapist, Seth Blee, PT, DPT, CEMT, CSCS, Inova Sports Medicine will provide healthcare and sports medicine services, as well as arrange treatment and recovery options for the team.

“Inova Sports Medicine is happy to once again partner with the Washington Spirit,” said Robin West, MD, President of the Inova Musculoskeletal Service Line and Chairman, Inova Sports Medicine. “Our talented sports medicine team helps keep these elite athletes healthy and on the field by customizing care and working to prevent injury. We’re looking forward to another great season with the Spirit.”

Spirit Head Coach Richie Burke said, “Our relationship with Inova has evolved very nicely over the past year and we’ve really enjoyed the close connection with Dr. Bryant, Dr. Page and their entire team, who work tirelessly in support of our players. The benefit of building close ties with our Inova Sports Medicine partners can be found in the greater familiarity the medical staff has with our athletes, which translates into an all-round high quality service and treatment. It’s great to have a top ranked medical partner work so closely with our club.”
