Leesburg, VA., (08/21/21) – The Washington Spirit have signed midfielder Taylor Aylmer and defender Morgan Goff through the end of the 2021 season. Both Aylmer and Goff signed National Team Replacement Contracts on July 8th.
Taylor Aylmer, a Garnerville, New York native, is a midfielder who graduated in 2020 from Rutgers University. Before joining the Spirit, Aylmer was a National Team Replacement Player for NJ/NY Gotham FC during the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, making one appearance. During her four years at Rutgers, Aylmer played in 85 games, scored four goals and notched 17 assists. Since signing in early July, Aylmer has made four appearances for the Spirit, registering 131 minutes as a substitute and contributing one assist.
Morgan Goff is a defender and midfielder from Dunn, North Carolina. Goff is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where she played in 101 career games. Most recently, Goff played for Þróttur of the Úrvalsdeild kvenna in Iceland. She has not featured for Washington this season.
