Boyds, MD (May 31, 2018) – Washington Spirit and U.S. Women’s National Team forward Mallory Pugh injured her right knee near the end of the National Women’s Soccer League match against the Houston Dash on May 27.
Pugh was evaluated by the Washington Spirit medical staff and the U.S. Soccer medical staff and is currently undergoing additional testing and evaluations to determine the extent of the injury.
The injury did keep her off the latest U.S. WNT roster for the June friendlies against China PR, and she will miss Saturday’s Washington Spirit home game against the Chicago Red Stars. Her status moving forward will be determined after further evaluation.
