Boyds, MD (July 30, 2017) – Washington Spirit midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen played the full 90 minutes for the Denmark National Team in a 2-1 win over Germany on Sunday in the quarterfinal round of the UEFA Women’s EURO.

After Isabel Kerschowski put Germany on top with a goal in just the third minute of play, and took the 1-0 lead into halftime, Denmark rallied for a pair of second half scores on headers from Nadia Nadim (49′) and Theresa Nielsen (83′) to claim the victory, bringing an end to Germany’s hopes of extending its 22-year run as UEFA Women’s EURO champions.

Sigvardsen Jensen played on the left side of Denmark’s midfield, helping the Danes advance into the attacking zone to create scoring chances while also playing a steady role in the defensive efforts. She has been on the field for all 360 minutes of competition so far in the EURO, helping the Denmark defense limit opponents to two total goals over the course of four matches.

Denmark will face Austria on Thursday, August 3 in the semifinals. Kickoff is set for 8:45 a.m. with a live stream available on ESPN3. [LIVE STREAM]
