BOYDS, MD (May 16, 2017) – The Washington Spirit officially introduced the club’s newest member, U.S. Women’s National Team forward Mallory Pugh, at a press conference on Tuesday after Pugh’s first training session with the team.
It was announced on Saturday that Pugh was set to join the Spirit and the National Women’s Soccer League, with the club using its No. 1 spot in the NWSL Distribution Ranking Order to acquire the 19-year-old rising star.
Pugh could make her professional soccer debut as early as Saturday, May 20 when the Spirit hosts FC Kansas City at the Maryland SoccerPlex’s Maureen Hendricks Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. [TICKETS]
