Boyds, MD (July 27, 2018) – National Women’s Soccer League managing director Amanda Duffy announced Thursday that the league is joining the leadership group of SheIS, a women’s sports initiative that focuses on growing awareness and support for women’s sports.
Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe is one of NWSL’s six athlete ambassadors who will join Duffy and the league in the initiative.
“I am proud to be the SheIS ambassador for the Washington Spirit,” Bledsoe said. “I want every female athlete to feel supported and encouraged. I am excited to be part of this sisterhood to help improve resources and opportunities available to girls and women in sport. Let’s get out there and support each other.”
Bledsoe joins other NWSL athletes Lindsay Agnew, Michelle Betos, Alex Morgan, Kailen Sheridan and Nikki Stanton as ambassadors for the SheIS initiative in the league.
