Dear Investors,

The momentum surrounding the Washington Spirit continues to build, both on and off the pitch, and this past month was another reminder of what this organization is becoming.

Head Coach Adrián González added another milestone to an already remarkable start to his NWSL career, becoming the fastest head coach in league history to reach 25 regular season wins. He accomplished the feat in just 46 matches with our victory over Denver, a testament to the culture, consistency, and competitive standard he has established since joining the Spirit. We are fortunate to have one of the brightest coaching minds in the game leading our team.

Trinity Rodman is also playing some of the best soccer of her career. Through the first half of the season, she has already recorded eight goals and five assists, ranking fourth and fifth in the NWSL, respectively. Beyond the numbers, Trinity continues to demonstrate the leadership, creativity, and competitive drive that make her one of the premier players in global women’s soccer.

The growth of our league continues to be equally exciting. Earlier this month, we faced Gotham FC at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, before a crowd of 42,175, setting a New York City record for attendance at a women’s sporting event. Remarkably, the Washington Spirit has now participated in three of the four highest-attended matches in NWSL history. These milestones are more than attendance records, they are evidence of the accelerating demand for women’s soccer and the opportunity ahead for our league and our club.

The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is underway with 2027  World Cup qualifying on the line. I encourage you to follow our Spirit players representing their countries on the international stage. Deb Abiodun and Gift Monday (Nigeria), Rosemonde Kouassi (Ivory Coast), Alimata Bélem (Burkina Faso), Mélissa Bethi (Algeria), and Monique Ngock (Cameroon). Watching our players compete on the international stage is another reflection of the world-class talent that continues to define our roster.

Off the pitch, we were proud to welcome Sol de Janeiro as the Spirit’s first beauty partner. Partnerships like this demonstrate the continued expansion of our commercial platform as brands increasingly recognize the value, reach, and influence of women’s sports and the Spirit brand.

Every month reinforces our belief that sustained success is built by investing in exceptional people, creating unforgettable experiences, and growing the game in meaningful ways. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we continue to build one of the premier clubs in women’s sports.

As always, I hope you’ll join us at Audi Field this season. We look forward to seeing you there.

Let’s Go Sprit!

Kim Stone
CEO, Washington Spirit
